About Us

Our Role

Through the power of innovative research, we provide hope where little has existed for those suffering from disease, those affected by illness in a loved one or friend, and those yet to be diagnosed. The Institute continues to support some of the most exciting and promising medically relevant research today, while providing accountability for every donor dollar invested. We provide a unique opportunity to increase the pace and expand the scope of scientific research by matching the interests of our benefactors with research in need of support, taking the first steps toward medical innovation that will lead to treatments and possible cures for some of the world's most pervasive and deadly diseases. We are limited only by the resources entrusted to us to manage critically-needed research on diseases that are under-funded and under-researched.

Managing the Research Process

The Institute does more than identify benefactors and make grants to world-class researchers and organizations. The Institute also provides proprietary products and services to operate efficiently and effectively. Our research process is based on a unique proprietary model, the Rubicon. This model allows the Institute to be flexible, move quickly and limit bureaucracy, while ensuring that research projects are completed on time, on budget, and true to the original objectives.

Leveraging Resources While Maintaining Low Overhead

The Institute prides itself on being an efficiently run organization, maximizing financial resources into the Research Program Initiatives. To accomplish this task, the Institute takes an aggressive stance on maintaining extremely low overhead or administrative costs.
