Jason McKie Foundation at the Institute for Science and Health

Mission Statement: The mission of the Jason McKie Foundation at the Institute for Science and Health is to make a positive impact on the lives of soldiers (including veterans) and their families through programs in the areas of education and wellness.

In 2008, Jason launched the Jason McKie Foundation at the Institute for Science and Health. Throughout Jason's professional football career he has been active in the community. The Foundation is dedicated make a positive impact on the lives of our past and present military personnel by providing educational scholarships to military dependents affected by a loss or severely injured parent or spouse. Through the Foundation, Jason also looks to host various activities with military families to give back to those who gave so much to our country. As an added token, Jason will also provide tickets for each Bears' home game to military families.

Jason will establish a scholarship fund for children (in the Chicago area) who have lost a parent during active military duty. Jason also plans to show his support by attending and participating in various activities that benefit the military and its esteemed soldiers.

Jason also supports a national organization called Luke's Wings . ( http://www.lukeswings.org/mission.htm). Luke's Wings is an organization dedicated to the support of veterans who have been wounded through the War on Terror. Recognizing the immediate need for families to be with their loved ones at such a difficult time, Luke's Wings provides families with the means to visit the veterans during their hospitalization and rehabilitation. By purchasing travel agency services and travel tickets for veterans' loved ones, Luke's Wings provides an immediate and invaluable service to the families of our men and women at arms.
