Paula Knudson is the Executive Coordinator of the Office of Research Support Committees for the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She has been the coordinator for both the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects and the Animal Welfare Committee for 24 years. Her interests are in heightening the protection of research subjects, particularly those from vulnerable populations. To that end she has sponsored many conferences, lectured, and published on those topics. She has been a board member of PRIM&R (Public Responsibility in Medicine and Research) since 1982. |
