Mission Statement: The Dorothea McGuire Foundation is dedicated to creating awareness of, and acquiring funding for, dedicated research globally to determine the cause(s) of, attain early detection and ultimate cure(s) for Sarcoidosis, and its debilitating progression in the lung and other body organs.

Ms. Dorothea McGuire , founder, President, and CEO of McGuire Global Recruitment, is devoted to the improvement of health. She has been afflicted for most of her life by sarcoidosis , an inflammatory disease that causes non-cancerous lumps or granulomas in the lungs and other body organs. Sarcoidosis was once thought to be an uncommon condition, but it is now known to affect tens of thousands of people throughout the United States and many more abroad. Exposure to an environmental or occupational chemical (antigen) in a genetically susceptible individual is thought to trigger an immunologic response to produce this condition. Currently there is no known reliable method to prevent or cure sarcoidosis.

Having suffered with sarcoidosis, McGuire is teaming up with the Institute to assist in raising awareness, increasing brand-recognition, and raising capital to support needed research for sarcoidosis and other diseases. Both McGuire Global Recruitment and the Institute share commonalities, with a focus on making a real difference in the future health and well-being of the world. McGuire has observed a rare synergy, manifest through an opportunity to partner and jointly enhance the opportunities for the Institute and its important cutting-edge health-science research through her own resources.
