Leon and his wife Jessica have started the Leon Hall Foundation at the Institute for Science and Health in 2008. The Leon Hall Foundation focuses on programs in the area of social services, health and wellness. In 2008, Leon hosted a free football clinic for more than 300 Cincinnati youth. The free clinic provided youth the opportunity to work on their football skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork skills, while building self-esteem both on and off the field. Leon was drafted by the Bengals in the first round (18 th overall) in the 2007 NFL Draft. In his first season with Bengals , Leon played in every game. His five interceptions tied a Bengal rookie record. After his rookie season, Leon was named to the 2007-2008 NFL All-Rookie Team. While attending Vista High School in Vista, California, Leon earned All-American honors from Super Prep and Prep Star. Leon played four seasons at Michigan and had 37 starts among his 50 games. Leon left Michigan as the school's all-time leader in pass breakups with 43, he is also tied for fourth all-time at University of Michigan for interceptions (12), and he is tied for seventh in fumble recoveries (five). Leon's accolades include recipient of the 2006 Charles Woodson Award, given annually to the top defensive back at UM, finalist for the Bednarik Award, given to the top defensive player in the country, finalist for the Thorpe Award, given to the top defensive back in the country, 2006 Playboy All-American, Consensus All Big Ten First Team in 2006, and All Big Second Team in 2005.
