- supporting ground-breaking research -
focusing on the causes of disease
not just the symptoms This oil-on-canvas abstract painting portrays hope for the future as we empower ourselves, our neighbors, and the health-science research community to perform necessary work to build a healthier tomorrow. The imagery represents all that is the Institute for Science and Health ; its outreach, its programs, its vision - with regions being symbolic of selected research program areas that become integrated into a single focus - our mission (click here to see the key).
This painting is the contribution and brainchild of St. Louis artist Eileen Gale Mitchell. Eileen is known for work in chalks and oils, creating pieces that generate strong feelings about the contemporary times in which we live. She created this piece to make a strong statement that there is hope for the future and improved health through the power of research.
The Institute at a Glance
The Institute for Science and Health is a non-profit, international health-science research organization that supports ground-breaking research projects that hold the most promise for disease prevention, early diagnosis, novel targeted treatment methods, and cures for health issues that are running rampant and in need of immediate attention. The Institute has chosen to focus our research efforts on the causes of illness, while other organizations continue to concentrate merely on the symptoms.
Using an innovative paradigm to health science research management, the Institute is the place where tomorrow's approach to supporting life-changing research is already happening TODAY! Through the Institute's continuous efforts, monies raised are committed to the development of cutting-edge technologies by the best and brightest scientists, offering breakthroughs and a renewed sense of hope to those in need, both now and into the future.
When such collaborative efforts merge to champion a cause, the boundless energy, enthusiasm, and power created can yield tremendous opportunities, where the consummate result is greater than the simple sum of its parts. We embrace new ideas and out-of-the-box concepts capable of thrusting research into new directions and hastening the path to dramatic results. Society is the ultimate beneficiary of our efforts.
Please join us in the battle against disease and suffering by providing the means to generate hope for the future by getting involved and donating much needed financial resources (select Donate Now button). Together we can make a real and lasting difference in the battle against disease and suffering while forging the way to a healthier tomorrow.
